Linux Rocks in Every Sense: Why ?
1)Linux is free As in free beer, they say.If you want to spend absolutely nothing, you don’t even have to pay the price of a CD/Dvd. Linux can be downloaded in its entirety from the Internet completely for free. No registration fees, no costs per user, free updates, and freely available source code in case you want to change the behavior of your system.
2) Linux is portable to any hardware platform means Platform Independent.
3) Linux was made to keep on running
4) Linux is Secure and Versatile
6)The Linux OS and Linux applications have very short debug-times
One of the best things about Linux is its ability to run well even on rather elderly PCs that are not powerful enough to run Windows XP, never mind the newer resource hog, Microsoft Vista. As businesses and individuals upgrade to newer systems, the older systems become available at bargain prices.
The computer must have an optical drive that can read CDs because you will be installing Fedora from a CD. The hard drive doesn’t have to be huge because Fedora takes up only about 2 gigabytes. You’ll be fine with a drive as small as 10 gigabytes.
With a little searching, you should be able to find a computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse for $200 or less. (See the list “Find a PC.”)
Easy to Install as
Well.
